Last night, Tucker Carlson slammed the radical left on its continued support of Pete Buttegieg. Read his opening remarks below!
“You’ve done a lot of good, Jed.”
So says First Lady Bartlet as President Bartlet begins his final day of a two-term Presidency on liberal favorite The West Wing.
Wrong. Besides pushing a policy agenda that half of his fictional Americans disliked, Bartlet’s administration was riddled with personal scandals that should have sent him packing before the curtain closed on Season One. His Chief of Staff was a recovering drunk and drug addict, his Vice President had an extramarital affair while in office and the President himself lied on official forms about his Multiple Sclerosis diagnosis.
Yet Aaron Sorkin somehow manipulated a generation of liberals into believing that Bartlet was a great President. And now that Pete Buttegieg finds himself in a similar scandal, coastal elites inside their Toyota Priuses slapped with West Wing bumper stickers are calling their representatives, demanding they vote for the continuation of his service as President.
Why?

By doing what he did, Buttegieg should have proven to everyone that he is a deceitful, dangerous, delinquent. And his actions should have eroded our trust in him and in the institutions he leads.
Instead, basketball ratings are up, and after Buttegieg’s speech last night, his Presidential approval metrics aren’t collapsing the way we thought they would. Data shows radical socialist Democrats are holding those ratings up.
Now let me concede a key difference between classic Democrats and Republicans. We hold leaders to a higher standard, on and off the job. We interrogate their personal lives before darkening the bubble next to their names on our ballots. The Founding Fathers called it a ‘Natural Aristocracy’ — and before you on the left man your keyboard battle stations, that does not mean we support an actual aristocracy. It’s a figure of speech.
To conclude this opening segment of our show: Democrats have a simple choice. Will they reward a man who defrauded our country for years? Or will they, for once, side with country over party?
Republicans have already made that choice.
